Keynote Speaker: John Tyree T’95
Managing Director, Morgan Stanley
John Tyree is a Managing Director and leads a joint venture responsible for managing all commercial aspects of Morgan Stanley’s critical business partner relationships, including law firms, accounting firms and consulting firms. John has worked at Morgan Stanley for over two decades, since starting with the firm as a summer associate in 1993.
Prior to January of 2015, John led Equity Capital Markets origination for Consumer Retail, Telecommunications and Media sectors, and managed initial public offerings, secondary equity offerings and convertible transactions for these clients. In this capacity, John led IPOs for Shake Shack, Aramark, Houghton Mifflin and Smart & Final, among many others. He assumed this capital markets role in July of 2004.
John also worked in the Morgan Stanley Corporate Finance department in London, where he covered various European industrial companies from 2002 through 2004. Prior to that he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department, leading major telecommunications transactions for British Telecom, Telefonica Moviles and several other key wireless clients.
John attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a dual degree in General Engineering and English Literature in 1987. He earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1995. He previously served as a Director of the Tuck Annual Giving Committee and presently serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Episcopal School in New York.
